At the bottom of our layers


You slowly drop lumps of brown sugar crystals on top of your latte. Without stirring you allow them to sink until they're out of sight, probably settling comfortably at the bottom of the coffee cup.

Sometimes you can't help but imagine how these crystals appear so much like feelings that you keep submerged underneath your layers. And wish they would settle there, to eventually melt, vanishing forever.



You take a sip of your coffee moments later. Surprisingly, you smile, because the sweetness made the coffee taste so much better.
